Mini-Review – Jug Face (2013)

I love horror films and this little film is one of the better I’ve seen recently. Currently streaming on Netflix, this is a brilliantly disturbing film.

Lauren Ashley Carter is wonderful as a deeply tragic (and painfully heroic) character struggling with an unwanted pregnancy, while dealing with her family’s dark religious activities–which include forming a “Jug Face” that shows the next person to be sacrificed to the “god of the pit”.

Brutal, dark, disturbing and heart-breakingly tragic. Not for the timid or easily offended.
