Hunter S. Thompson (July 18, 1937 – Feb. 20, 2005)

Gonzo writer/journalist, Hunter S. Thompson was born today in 1937.

Known for his biting commentary, outrageous behavior and drug use, Thompson became a counter culture figure in the early 70s–writing several books praised by anti-establishment devotes. Johnny Depp portrayed him in 2 films.
